Hornets take down Dragons on road

Lake football coach Tate Hanna was worried about Pisgah’s big offensive line heading into last week’s contest.

But in the end, it was Lake’s offensive line that controlled the football game.

The Hornets used a strong rushing attack to break open a close game and handed Pisgah its first loss with a 27-7 victory on Friday night.

Lake shuts out French Camp twice

The Lake Lady Hornets opened the playoffs just like they did for the majority of the regular season.

Lake took a pair of shutout wins to open the playoffs, beating French Camp 18-0 and 13-0. Lake also beat Union 10-6 to end the regulars eason.

Lake, now 24-2, hosted Stringer on Tuesday.
