The Mississippi Association of Coaches released their all-state football teams at the championship games Dec. 1-3.
Newton placed three players on the Class 2A team, all on the second team.
On defense, defensive tackle Dontavious Lanier, a 6-foot-1, 264-pound junior joined senior cornerback Kezarrian Wash.
On offense, junior Tyreke Snow was named the second-team quarterback. Snow was 140-of-188 for 2,328 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Snow also rushed for 812 yards on 135 carries.
