The Newton Police Department is looking for a suspect who apparently shot gun in the city limits, a bullet from which entered a resident’s home last week.
Police Chief Harvey Curry didn’t release details of the exact location where the bullet entered the home, but he said the suspect could be facing felony charges.
“It’s a felony to shoot into a residence,” Curry said. “This resident has been worried about her safety ever since it happened. No one should ever feel unsafe inside their home.”
Curry said anyone with information on this case should contact the police department at 601-683-2041.
