The Newton County Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers 4-H Scholarship winner for 2018 is 17-year old Zyreaia Tingle of Newton.
Her ranking in her senior class at Newton High School was third out of the 61 seniors, gradating this year with one of the top five ACT scores.
Her school activities are: Student Council Secretary, ROSA, Senior Beta Club, National Honor Society, Cheerleading squad and slow pitch softball.
Other activities include president of Newton Mayor’s Youth Council, Newton and Lauderdale County Tobacco Free Youth Advocacy Team and she is a member of Pleasant Grove 4-H Club.
Tingle was also one of the four recipients of the NAACP Freedom Fund Scholarships at the Newton County NAACP Chapter’s annual banquet.
