Local Schools to Close Monday Due to Threat of Freezing Temps and Hazardous Road Conditions

Local schools have announced closures for Monday, January 26, due to the threat of freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions. They include:

-Newton Municipal School District

-Newton County School District

-Union Public School District

-Sebastopol Attendance Center

-Lake High School and Elementary School

East Central Commuity College will operating virtually on Monday. Mabry Cafeteria will remain open during normal operating hours; however, the Grille will be closed.
