Services for Mr. Bobby Hitt were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Burial was at Hudson Chapel Church of God Cemetery. Bro. Rick Benson and Bro. Therman Hodge officiated.
Visitation was held one hour prior to service on Thursday at Milling Funeral Home.
Mr. Bobby Hitt, age 74, of Union passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020.
Mr. Bobby was a deacon at the Union Church of Christ. After 30 years, he retired from driving a truck for Roadway. For the last 20 years he enjoyed working for Sherriff Jackie Knight in the Newton Co. Sheriff`s Department.
Mr. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Effie Mae Hitt; one son, Jeff Hitt and wife Linda Hitt; one daughter, Kathy Lynn Hitt; two sisters, Pam Noble and Deborah Hitt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Geraldine Hitt of Union; one daughter, Alethia Gail Hitt of Union; four grandchildren, Gi Gi Hitt of Decatur, Bobby Cash Pace, Jackson Cruz Pace and Tripp Pace all of Union; four sisters, Gail Pattillo of Union, Linda Anderson of Georgia, Betty Joy Holmes of Georgia and Tommie Faye Vereen of Florida. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Britt Harris, Charles Warren, Dale Pattillo, Bill Koch, Sam Williamson and Billy Wayne Dickerson.
