Carolyn was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Before retiring in 2007, she dedicated 35 years to caring for others throughout her nursing career. She meticulously cared for her yard, which included beautiful plants, flowers and multiple koi ponds. Her sweet tooth was evident every time she stepped into the kitchen. Her cakes, pies, cinnamon rolls and sweet tea, among other dishes, were praised constantly by her family. She took great pride in raising her children, which then provided her with grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she doted on whenever given the slightest opportunity. Carolyn and her husband, Robby, enjoyed many moments of their retirement nestled in their cabin within the mountains in Maryville, Tennessee. Her voice, smile, laughter and presence will be missed by all who were lucky enough to love and know her throughout her 76 years on this earth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Floyd Bishop and Maude Bishop; daughter, Carolyn Michelle Brown.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Robby Brown; children, Michiel Brown (Tammy) and Robbie Ann Carmichael (Henry); grandchildren, Baleigh Brown Riddle (Caleb), Aaron Brown, Sarah Carmichael Vance (Hunter), Audrey Carmichael Garrison (Anthony) and Oree Carmichael (Chris); great-grandchildren, Collin and Campbell Riddle, Eli Carmichael and Hank Garrison; brother, Kent Bishop; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
