Myra Lozell Pace peacefully passed away on Jan. 20, 2021, at age 86.
Private family services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with graveside services to follow in the Conehatta Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. (Facial coverings must be worn, and physical distancing practiced. No more than 10 people in the building.)
She was born on Nov. 11, 1934, to the parents of Jakie and Jewel Futch. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and a member of Conehatta Baptist Church.
She worked at Midland Shirt Company for many years serving as plant manager for the last 20 years.
Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James E. Pace; her parents; one sister, Patsy May; two brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her sister, Peggy Germany; nephews, Dwain Ivey and Robert May (Trisha); nieces, Melanie Vick (Billy) and Suzanne Weaver (Chris); two great nieces; four great nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews.
Affectionally known as “Aunt Sissy,” she loved her family and her family loved her. She will be forever greatly missed.
Pallbearers are Ryan Weaver, Hayden Weaver, Matt Harris, Tyler Harris, Chris Weaver and Billy Vick.
