NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and thunderstorms, some heavy, are expected once again
tomorrow across much of Georgia and Florida. Storms should
be most intense during the afternoon and evening, with
localized flooding possible in the hardest hit areas. To the
north, drier weather will continue for most of the
Northeast, though a stray shower may linger in western New
York or northern Pennsylvania. Dry conditions will also be
in place for most of the Midwest and Plains, with areas of
smoke in the Dakotas and Montana. Showers and scattered
storms will be a threat for West Texas and adjacent areas of
New Mexico. A few storms may turn severe, with hail and
damaging wind gusts. Along the West coast, drier and
slightly cooler weather can be expected.
