The Nation's Weather for Friday, September 1, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will continue to drench the Southeast
tomorrow, especially around the central and eastern Gulf
Coast and much of Florida, as a warm front approaches.
Storms will also extend inland through portions of
Mississippi and much of Alabama. Otherwise, a rather large
zone of high pressure will ensure dry conditions from the
mid-Atlantic through New England, westward across much of
the Great Lakes and the Plains and into the South. However,
the West will be more active, with monsoon thunderstorms
redeveloping from southern Montana to Arizona and also
portions of Southern California, with some risk for gusty
thunderstorms in parts of Nevada and Utah. A separate storm
will bring showers to Northern California.
