The Nation's Weather for Friday, February 25, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A massive winter storm will largely be confined to the
Northeast by tomorrow. Locally heavy snow can make travel
extremely difficult and dangerous in upstate New York and
most of New England. Much of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and
Rhode Island will have a mix of snow, sleet and treacherous
ice, making roads especially slippery. Predominantly ice
will occur in central Pennsylvania, also creating hazardous
conditions. Rain is expected in central and southern New
Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware during the morning hours. A
bit of snow can fly near the lakeshore around Chicago.
Occasional rain and drizzle can dampen South Texas. A few
morning showers along the tail end of a cold front could
also affect Alabama, southern Mississippi, and northwestern
Georgia. Much of the rest of the nation should be dry.
