The Nation's Weather for Saturday, December 30, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
For tomorrow, snow will decline in coverage from northern
New England through the higher elevations from western
Pennsylvania into North Carolina through the day as a
persistent disturbance finally leaves the East.
Precipitation may begin as a period of freezing rain in
parts of Maine, hampering travel through the morning. Areas
from the Southeast through the central and southern Plains
and the Four Corners region will be quiet, but snow will
build into the northern Plains behind a cold front as it
pushes southward into the region. Interior parts of the West
also will be dry, but a storm along the West coast will
bring areas of rain and mountain snow from Southern
California into western Nevada and central Washington and
Oregon.
