The Nation's Weather for Thursday, July 25, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Storms may bring flooding downpours and localized damaging
wind gusts along the coast from Maine to Maryland and
Delaware tomorrow. Heavy downpours may reduce visibility
across much of the Southeast. While the rain will provide
drought relief, ponding on streets and highways will be
likely in areas with multiple rounds of downpours.
Thunderstorms may be a bit more spotty in the Florida
Peninsula. Spotty, afternoon thundershowers are again
expected in association with the annual North American
monsoon from parts of the Southwest to the Great Basin and
into the northern Rockies. The heat that has been broiling
much of the West will begin to subside. However, the
record-challenging heat will shift into the northern Plains.
