NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms are possible tomorrow from eastern
Texas into the Mississippi River Valley and then east at
night. Widespread damaging winds, flash flooding and
tornadoes can occur. Flash flooding and travel delays can
occur as far north as the Ohio River Valley. Snow from the
same storm can spread from the Plains into the Great Lakes
and Northeast. There can be ice across much of
Pennsylvania and the Appalachians of West Virginia and
Virginia that can begin to change over to plain rain
overnight. Downed tree limbs and power outages can occur in
areas with the greatest ice accretion. Light snow can fall
from Montana into the northern Plains, and snow showers will
occur across much of the Intermountain West. Arctic air will
begin to move into the Plains.
