NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms bringing the risk for damaging winds and hail
will rumble from southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New
Jersey to Virginia tomorrow. Farther to the north, showers
can dampen a zone from northern Ohio, eastward to western
New England. Periods of rain with embedded thunder are most
likely in northern and central Pennsylvania. Along a cold
front, thunderstorms will also trail southwestward all the
way to Texas. Showers are expected to develop in the higher
elevations of Washington state and Oregon during the
afternoon hours. Thundershowers may even occur in far
northeastern Oregon, central Idaho and southwestern Montana.
Many locations from the northern and central Plains to the
Northeast will have temperatures near to below normal, with
heat restricted to the Gulf Coast and Desert Southwest.
