County dominates Southeast Lauderdale

Newton County football coach Bobby Bass continues to tell his football team to get better every week.

That’s what Bass saw this past week as the Cougars took a 39-6 win over homestanding Southeast Lauderdale on Friday night.

The Cougars are now 2-0 on the season and will host Union on Friday night.

FOOTBALL: NEWTON COUNTY 32, MORTON 13 — Cougars ‘good enough’

It wasn’t the effort that Newton County coach Bobby Bass was looking for against Morton.

But it was good enough to win as the Cougars pulled away in the second half to take a 32-13 win over the Panthers on Friday night, which was also homecoming night for the home-standing Cougars.
