On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Mississippi Association of Coaches hosted its inaugural All-Star Swimming Championships, bringing together the top athletes from high schools across all three classifications for a North vs. South showdown. Newton County was proudly represented by Edie Pippin, Maddux Cheatham, and Mason Cheatham.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Edie Pippin delivered an outstanding first leg, positioning her team to secure the silver medal—the highest-ranking medal ever earned by an NCHS swimmer in the program’s history.
Maddux Cheatham achieved a personal-best time in his individual event, and Mason Cheatham also competed, contributing to a strong showing for Newton County Swim at this inaugural meet.
