The Newton All Americans basketball team traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from April 4 to April 6 to compete in the 4th Annual Red Storm AAU Tournament. The team, which consists of players from Newton and Scott counties, faced off against various out-of-state teams in their age bracket. The Newton All Americans placed first in their bracket and advanced to the championship round, where they secured a 40–29 victory.
Team members include Dylan Coleman, Zaylon McKee, Zedan Brown, Zion Bounds, Khamren Walker, Zakarian Pugh, Jaden Reed, Timahaj Burks, and Treyun Bounds. The team is coached by Demarius Evans and Tony Burks. Team managers are Kenzie Evans, Kaitlyn Robinson and Aiden Ware.
