March 21 was World Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day and some Newton County Academy students with siblings that have Down’s Syndrome shared the message of love, inclusion, and positivity to fellow students as they arrived.
On that Thursday morning, NCA students Rigdon Wall, Christopher and Griffin West, Logan Heidelberg, along with friends Marshall and Coy Wright, greeted their peers by handing out stickers and bracelets in support of their siblings and many others that were born with Down’s Syndrome.
According to Amber Wall, her son Rigdon, a third grader at NCA, asked if they could spread awareness for his little brother Cage, 3, and others that have Down’s Syndrome, adding that Rigdon used birthday money to help buy material to hand out.
