Newton County United Givers Fund recently held its distribution for the 2023-24 drive on Tuesday at the Newton Historic Depot. More than 30 different organizations received donations from the drive. The goal of the non-profit organization is to provide a united fundraising drive for the community at-large to participate in.
With NCUGF supporting fire departments, libraries, school band & athletic departments and organizations throughout the county, UGF would like to encourage businesses, individuals and groups from these areas receiving donations to participate in future drives to help ensure the fund can continue for many years to come. To donate, send a check to the Newton Chamber of Commerce addressed to the Newton County UGF. For any questions or additional information, or if you would like to schedule a community meeting to discuss benefits, please contact Bob Beckley at 601-953-8738 or Don Vares at 601-917-3964.
