A 31-year-old Newton man faces a charge of harassment after allegedly continuing to contact a woman electronically, despite being told not to.
“Jerry Lewis was harassing, electrically, a female,” said Interim Police Chief McKenzie Patrick. “He was advised not to contact this other person, and he continued to basically harass her through telecommunication.”
A judge signed the affidavit for charges to be filed, authorizing police to move forward with the case.
Lewis was given a misdemeanor charged of telephone/electronic communication use of profane, indecent, harassing language. He was arrested on Monday, March 17, 2025 and his bond was set at $243.75.
