The NHS Tigers Track and Field team had several students place in the 2A state championship in May. Erin Ware was named 2A state champion in three events at this year’s state meet. Results from state meet, as well as, the south state meet are below. The track team coach is Ed McGowan.
2024 2A Track and Field State Championship Results
• De’Traun Brown: 2nd place - 110m hurdles, 3rd place - high jump
• Euniya Taylor: 2nd place - triple jump
• Erin Ware: 1st place - triple jump, 100m hurdles & 300m hurdles, 2nd place - long jump
• Sasha Harris, Euniya Taylor, Jamiya Jones, Jordyn Bolar: 2nd place - Girls 4x200 meter relay
2024 2A Track and Field South State Championship Results
• Erin Ware: 1st Place - 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, long jump and triple jump
• Euniya Taylor: 2nd place - triple jump
• Jamiya Jones: 4th place - 200 meter dash
• Sasha Harris, Euniya Taylor, Jordyn Bolar, Jamiya Jones: 1st place - 4x100 relay
