OF INVITATION TO BID FOR
AN AGRICULTURAL LEASE
ON SIXTEENTH SECTION LANDS
To all persons interested in the following described pastureland m Newton County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 11 East
Commence at the center of Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 11 East, Newton County, Mississippi, this being the Point of Beginning. Thence run West a distance of 780.00 feet more or less; thence run North a distance of 780.00 feet more or less; thence run East a distance of 1150.00 feet more or less; thence run South 50 degrees East a distance of 560.00 feet more or less to Melvin Leach Road; thence run in a Southwesterly direction along Melvin Leach Road a distance of 450.00 feet more or less to the South line of the SW ¼ of SW ¼ of NE ¼; thence run West a distance of 380.00 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning.
Less and except a parcel ofland held under a residential lease contract to Eric Kennedy and Tammara Kennedy, which appears of public record in Deed Book 318 at Page 267 in the Tax Assessor/Collector Office of Newton County, Mississippi. The total acreage described above contains 14.60 acres m/1.
You are hereby notified that sealed bids to lease the Agricultural rights on the above described Sixteenth Section Lands, or lands in lieu thereof, may be filed with the Superintendent of Education of Union Public School District located at Post Office Box 445, Union, Mississippi 39365, on or before I 0:00 a.m. on the 14th day of December 2020. The sealed bids shall be submitted for the ENTIRE PARCEL and must include 100% of the amount bid for that parcel. All bids will be opened at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th day of December 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter. The Board of Trustees of Union Public School District reserves the right to reduce the term and reject any bid less than $ 20.00 per acre, but if any bid is accepted, the Board will award said Agricultural Lease to the highest bidder in the manner provided by law.
