SIXTEENTH SECTION LAND
RECLASSIFICATION
The Board of Trustees of the Union Public School District hereby gives notice of the reclassification of the following Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Land to a Forest reclassification:
14.60 acres located in Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 11 East, Newton County, Mississippi.
Commence at the center of Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 11 East, Newton County, Mississippi, this being the Point of Beginning. Thence run West a distance of 780.00 feet more or less; thence run North a distance of 780.00 feet more or less; thence run East a distance of 1150.00 feet more or less; thence run South 50 degrees East a distance of 560.00 feet more or less to Melvin Leach Road; thence run in a Southwesterly direction along Melvin Leach Road a distance of 450.00 feet more or less to the South line of the SW ¼ of SW ¼ of NE ¼; thence run West a distance of 380.00 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning.
Less and except a parcel of land held under a residential lease contract to Melissa Ferguson, which appears of public record in Deed Book 368 at Page 749 in the Tax Assessor/Collector Office of Newton County, Mississippi. The total acreage described above contains 14.60 acres m/l.
The parcel is shown on Tax Plat Map 050R-16-00-006.00, identified as PPIN 11356. Any interested party desiring to object to this reclassification must submit such objection in writing to the Chancery Clerk of Newton County on or before 5:00 PM on the 1st day of March, 2021.
