NOTICE TO FORMER
UNION PUBLIC SCHOOL
SPECIAL EDUCATION AND
GIFTED STUDENTS
The Special Education and Gifted Departments of Union Public School District (UPSD) are in the process of purging records of former Special Education and Gifted students.
Regulations require that the records will be maintained for a period of five years after they become inactive. If you wre a student who received Special Education or Gifted services prior to the 2020-2021 school year and are interested in obtaining your records, please contact Dr. Lori Wilcher, Director of Special Education, at 601-774-9579, or by email at wilcherl@unionyellowjackets.org before March 28, 2025.
Parents and students may need these records in the future for other purposes such as applying for Social Security Benefits, Vocational Rehabilitation eligibility purposes, etc.
Inactive records for years prior to the 2020-2021 school year will be destroyed after March 28, 2025 in accordance with MDE guidelines.
