NOTICE - LAND MULCHING
The Newton County Board of Supervisors will be accepting bids for the mulching of 30 acres +/h of land located in Decatur, adjacent to the National Guard Armory, in section 30, township 7, range 12 East. The corners of the land have been flagged and all prospective bidders may contact the purchase clerk’s office (601-635-3444) to arrange a time to view the land.
The winning bidder will have until September 30, 2026, to mulch the area, The bid should be in a per acre amount. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Bid for Mulching” on the outside. Bids may be submitted to the Newton County Chancery Clerk’s Office until 10:00 a.m. on April 6, 2026, with the bids to be opened shortly thereafter. The Board reserves the right to reject all bids.
