Nancy Catherine Hollingsworth, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at her residence in Conehatta, MS. Her visitation was held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 11:30 AM until 2:45 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Her services took place at 3:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Her burial followed at Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Bro. Bobby Everett officiated under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Nancy was born on October 4, 1937, in Newton County, MS to Thurman N. Parkes and Vashti Underwood. She lived most of her life in Conehatta, MS. Nancy was a member of Hazel Baptist Church. She was an avid outdoorswoman who loved to deer hunt and she loved to paint. Nancy was a hairdresser for over fifty years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hollingsworth; her parents, Thurman and Vashti Parkes; her siblings, Nicky and Keith Parkes, Martha Graham and Lynn Lewis; her son Chuck Hollingsworth. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Hollingsworth (Amy) of Lake, MS and Paul Wayne Hollingsworth of Lake, MS; her six grandchildren, Nathan Hollingsworth, Dakota Ellis, Dalton Hollingsworth, Cooper Hollingsworth, Colby Hollingsworth and Abby Hollingsworth; her two great grandchildren, Carolina Ellis and Georgia Ellis.
Pallbearers were Dalton Hollingsworth, Colby Hollingsworth, Cooper Hollingsworth, Chad Hollingsworth, Logan Ellis, Danny Edmonds and Jade Parkes.
