Mr. Tony Carlton Smith, age 64, of Jackson, Ga. passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home.
Tony was born on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1957 in Philadelphia, Miss. to the late James Carlton Smith and Emily Carolyn Laird Smith. Along with his father, Tony is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Smith and partner, David Treadaway. He was a writer with CNN for 25 years. Tony was a wonderful son and brother that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved traveling, gardening, and his cats.
Tony is survived by his mother, Carolyn Smith; siblings, Teresa Harris (Everett) and Tammy Smith (Melissa).
There will be no formal services for Mr. Tony Smith at this time.
