Services for Bernice Clark Hoyt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home-Meridian. The Rev. Ron Leonard will be officiating. Burial will follow in Herbert Baptist Church Cemetery in the House community.
Mrs. Hoyt, 75, of the Clarkdale community, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her daughter, Teresa Waltman and her husband, Steve, of Meridian; four grandchildren Tyler Waltman, Brettany Waltman Miller and her husband, Nathan, Jonathan Waltman and his wife, Lacey; three great grandchildren Mason Brooks Miller, who was born May 30, 2018, Landry and Whitt Waltman. She was also survived by a very special and dear friend, Jerry Hunter, of Sebastopol along with his children and grandchildren; two brothers, L.C. Clark and wife Shirley, Randall Clark; a sister, Dodie Davidson and her husband, Billy Paul; a special sister-in-law, Rochelle McCullough; and a brother-in-law, Joe Hoyt, both of Flora.
Bernice enjoyed working in her beautiful flower beds, gardening, sewing and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Louie Hoyt, in 2003; and parents, Estelle and Lurena Clark.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Waltman, Jonathan Waltman, Mike Waltman, Al Waltman, Michael Waltman and Will Crane. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Reynolds.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
