Services for Mrs. Bessie Thomas were held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 at Milling Funeral Home of Union with burial in the Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Mark Vincent officiated.
Visitation was held 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home Monday, Dec. 23, 2019
Mrs. Thomas, 84, of Decatur, died on Dec. 20, 2019 at JG Alexander Nursing Home.
Survivors include daughter, Janet Terrell and husband, Bruce, of Union; son, Ralph Thomas and wife, Marianne, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Brian Terrell, Aaron Terrell, Todd Terrell and wife, Kayla, Kristen Weaver and husband, Ryan, and Brandon Thomas and wife, Melanie; and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Thomas; son, Michael Thomas; and parents, Lester and Lola French.
Pallbearers were Wayne Comans, Randy McDill, Chris Clark, Ben Harper, Ray Thomas and Scott Fulton.
Honorary Pallbearer was Freddie Ezelle.
