Services for Mr. Bobby Joe Green were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol with burial in the High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Brett Cooper, Nolan Pinter and Scott Engle officiated.
Mr. Green, 81, passed away July 8, 2017, in his home.
He was a farmer in his early life, and retired from the Neshoba County UNIT System after 30 years of service, where he worked mainly as a motor grader operator. In more recent years, he worked as a timber recruiter for several timber companies.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Cecile Green; one son, Bobby Earl (Annette) Green of Conehatta; two daughters, Karen (Dewain) Davidson of Lucedale, and Dawn (Lonnie) Cumberland of Preston. He leaves one brother, Billy (Sally) Green of Decatur.
He is survived by four grandchildren, Joe (Carri) Green, Sydney (Nikki) Tucker, Alan (Julie) Davidson and Adrian Tucker. He leaves five precious great-grandchildren, Preston Green, Reagan Green, Ava Tucker, Blake Tucker and Ryleigh Tucker. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Oscar Green; two mothers, Nettie Comans Green and Martha H. Comans Cole; three sisters, Lydia Burns, Juanita Dennis and Reba Arthur; one brother, Claude Cole and six infant brothers and sisters.
The pallbearers included Basil Arthur, Ronald Arthur, Larry Davis, Alan Davidson, Sydney Tucker, and Joe Green.
The honorary pallbearers included Gary Dennis, Gary Harmoa, Wesley Chandler, Alvie Barber, Delton Comans and Marshal Tatum.
