Bobby Clinton Pugh, 80, of Hickory, passed away peacefully at his home, with his loving wife, Annette Pugh, at his side on Wednesday, Oct. 3. He was born Sunday, May 29, 1938 in Hickory.
Visitation was held 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hickory. Funeral Services will follow. Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Rosie Pugh; his brother, William Patrick Pugh.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Pugh of Hickory; his daughters, Leslie Rutledge (John) of Owasso, OK and Vicki Lee (Michael) of McHenry; grandchildren, Sara Evans (Brian) of Clovis, CA, Cassidy Grace Rutledge of Tulsa, OK, Austin Michael Lee of Starkville, Bobbi Lynn Lee of Lumberton, Joseph Hugh Lee of Wiggins, and Amber Rose Lee of McHenry; great-grandchildren, John Sawyer Evans and Tallulah Belle Evans; sister-in-law, Vida Pugh of Hickory; nieces, Diane Pugh of TX and Rene’ Pugh of NM; nephew, Steve Pugh (Cheryl) of Hickory; cousin, Bobby Caldwell of Hickory; and life-long friends, Bert and Sallie Wilson of Palm Bay, FL.
Pallbearers were John Rutledge, Michael Lee, Johnny Burkes, Sam Burkes, Joseph Lee and Austin Lee.
Alternate Pallbearers were Steven Pugh and Glen Bolton.
Honorary Pallbearers were Richard Harris, Bobby Caldwell, James Otis Swearingen, Robby Brown, Bert Wilson, Kyle Wilson and Arleigh Allen.
