Funeral services for Charlene Pearson were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in Union. Bro. Rick Benson officiated. Burial followed at Union City Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearson, 83, of Union, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at UMMC in Jackson.
Charlene French Pearson, of Conehatta, was born Jan. 25, 1935. She was the youngest sibling to three brothers and one sister. Charlene married Rotchie Leavelle Pearson on Dec. 24,1954 and together they had three children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She worked various jobs throughout her life, but was best known for her 42 year career as a newspaper carrier in the Union area. Charlene loved her community, family, and friends dearly and without a doubt, the feeling was mutual. She always put others before herself and ensured everyone was taken care of. She left this world May 25, 2018 and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Laurie Ann Moore and Robbie Pearson; four grandchildren, Christopher (Katharyn) Pearson, Dustin Moore, Jacob (Kristi) Dollar and Ethan (Megan) Dollar; five great-grandchildren, Gabe Dollar, Gage Dollar, Jeremy Dollar, Chloe Dollar and Madison Copes; and son-in-law, Joe Dollar.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leavelle Pearson; a daughter, Alisa Dollar; two grandchildren, Jessie and Cheyene Moore, and son-in-law, Mitchell Moore; and her parents, Earnest and Minnie French, as well as three brothers and one sister.
