Darrell McElhenney, 64, of Decatur, passed away in his home on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ed Dickerson officiated.
Survivors include two sons, Justin McElhenney of Decatur and Jared McElhenney (Jo Lyn) of Decatur; daughter, Rachel Boody (Josh) Pell City, AL; three grandchildren, Katie, Jack and Jordyn McElhenney; sister, Debbie Skinner of Madison; brother, Wendell McElhenney (Cindy) of Notasulga, AL; and nephew, Will McElhenney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. “Burley” and Beatrice McElhenney.
Pallbearers were Jared McElhenney, Justin McElhenney, Andrew Strickland,
Jimmy Wyatt, Ray Addy and Tommy Lister.
Darrell did different types of construction his whole life. He enjoyed trail rides, country music and spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. He looked forward to the Neshoba County Fair every year. He will be greatly missed.
