Services for Mr. James K. Ming will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Conehatta Baptist Church with burial in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Shannon Davis will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church on Tuesday.
Mr. Ming, 83, of Conehatta, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, at J.G. Alexander Nursing Home.
He served four years in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW. He was also a disabled American veteran. He was a member of Conehatta Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Donald W. Ming and his wife, Maria, of Kansas; a daughter, Ann Hagin of Conehatta; a sister, Linda Hitt and her husband, Gilbert, of Brandon; three grandchildren, Yolanda Van of Kansas, Donald W. Ming Jr. and Kirsten of Kansas and James DeVad-Ming of Mobile, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Donta, Mya and Angela; a great-great-grandchild, Jamir.
Mr. Ming was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Fleeter Ming; his wife, Charlotte A. Ming; a son, James Kenneth Ming; and a sister, Velda F. Ferguson.
Pallbearers will be James DeVad Ming, Roy Seal, Wesley Seal, Layne McDill, Sid Porter and Shannon Hedrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Conehatta Baptist Church.
