Kelly Thomas Pace, 85, of Newton, MS, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.
Visitation was held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton. Graveside Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. George Heath officiating. Newton County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Tommy was born Friday, March 16, 1934 in Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956. He had been an active member of the Masons since 1957. On Dec. 16, 1958 he married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Beach, and they resided in Newton County for over 60 years. He spent over 50 years as service manager for Nelson Hall Chevrolet. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who loved to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Pace; parents, Robert and Mary Pace; and siblings, Robert Lee Pace, Opal Mayo and Glen Pace.
Survivors include his children, Marty Pace (Judy), Kelly Jones (Bubba) and John Pace (Felicia); grandchildren, Stephanie Fuson (Terry), Truitt Pace, Macey Valentine, Logan Fleming, Emily Cater (Nathan) and Brandon Jones; great-grandchildren, Riley, Kinadee, Hallie and Kyleigh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Truitt Pace, Logan Fleming, Brandon Jones, Terry Fuson, Paul Craven and Bubba Pace.
Honorary pallbearers were Frankie McCullough and Ronnie Strait.
