Martha McElhenney, 86, of Decatur, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was born in 1931 in Union.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 17 at 3 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – North in Newton with visitation two hours prior to the service. Burial followed in Newton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Larry Laird officiated.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leno and Inez Eshee; a son, Rodney McElhenney; a sister, Katie Cater; and a granddaughter, Kristy Freeny.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Rogers, Decatur and Marcia Boswell (Ted) Carthage; and two grandchildren, Michael McElhenney (Leann) and Kari McGee (Zach).
