Services for Martha Rivers Moore were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Union City Cemetery. The Rev. David Addy officiated.
Visitation was held from 5:30-7:30 p.m,. Wednesday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
Ms. Moore, 70, of Union died Sept. 4, 2017, at her residence.
Martha Loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was very proud of her first-born grandson, Rivers Franklin for serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Franklin (Jay) and Jessica Moore Jenkins (James Adam), both of Union; four grandchildren, Rivers Franklin, Cross Franklin, Bryce Jones and Emory Jenkins all of Union; and three sisters, Becky Valentine (Clyde) of Decatur, Ramona Hunt of Germantown, Tenn, and Ramola Barton of Lake Charles, La.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Moore; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Rivers; and one brother, James Rivers.
Pallbearers were Jay Franklin, Adam Jenkins, Cross Franklin, David LeBlanc, Richard Rivers and Rhett Rivers.
Honorary pallbearer was Bryce Jones.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
