Martha A. Lindley Pearson, 80, of Hickory, died Friday, July 28, 2017, at her home. She was born Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1936, in Newton County.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 31 at Newton County Funeral Home – North, with funeral services immediately following. Burial followed in Newton County Memorial Garden. Bro. Eric Embrey officiated. Newton County Funeral Home – North was in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jerald Pearson; her parents, William Samuel and Katherine Vaughn Lindley; and two sons, Jerry Wayne Pearson and William Russell Pearson.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Pearson and Gail Pierce; two brothers, Austin Lindley and Wayne Lindley; and seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dusty Pearson, Lee Pearson, Tim Lindley, Gary Joiner, Neil Cochran and Jonathan West.
