Services for Ms. Melba Walker Hardy were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the New Ireland Cemetery. Bro. Byron Howell officiated.
Visitation was held from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union.
Ms. Melba Walker Hardy of Union, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Waddell and her husband, Aaron, of Union; two sons, Stanley Walker and his wife, Delores of Union, and Terry Walker of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Jason Walker and wife, Naomi, of Starkville and Jennifer Pullin and Amy Sharp, both of Union; and seven great-grandchildren, Kellen Walker, Lucian Walker, Madison Pullin, Lexie Pullin, Kenley Pullin, Andrew Sharp and Matthew Sharp.
Ms. Melba Walker Hardy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Adalee James; her husband, Hilbert D. Walker; one brother; and one sister.
Pallbearers were Billy Pat Walker, Hubert Waddell, Stanley Walker, Terry Walker, Jason Walker and Aaron Waddell.
The grandsons served as the honorary pallbearers.
