Minnie Ree “Smitty” Smith Duke passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, May 29, 2017, with a sweet smile on her face.
The daughter of Clifton and Mabel Smith, she was married to James Aubrey Duke who died in 1977.
She is survived by a son, James Aubrey Duke II, his wife, Kate and their son, James Aubrey Duke III; a daughter, Paula Duke Speir, her husband, Lee, and their daughter, Christina. She is also survived by her brother, Boyd Smith, his wife Darlene, their two children and spouses, and five grandchildren; and many, many friends!
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. and burial following. Lakewood Funeral Home, Jackson, was in charge of arrangements.
