Miriam Janet Smith, 78, of Adamsville, Tenn., (formerly of Carrollton), died Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Carrolton Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County. The Rev. Jake Roudkovski will officiate the services. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.
Mrs. Smith was born to Leon and Mary Kate Crenshaw Smith on Oct. 19, 1939, in Union. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church in Carrollton. Mrs. Smith was a registered nurse for 12 years and a devoted pastor’s wife. She will be remembered as a true prayer warrior and one that loved to sew.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Rev. George Smith; three sons, Danny Smith (Dale) of Tupelo, Mark Smith (Kathey) of Monticello, Ark., and Tim Smith (Kelly) of Adamsville, Tenn.; one brother, Carey Smith (Suzanne) of Clinton; and five granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant older sister.
