Services for Ms. Myrtis Estelle Skinner were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bros. Lin Chesney, Chris Wells and Rusty Walton officiated.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Milling Funeral Home of Union and 30 minutes prior to service on Friday at the church.
Ms. Skinner, 90, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Russell and her husband, Ralph, of Little Rock, and Laurie Sharp and Chris Powell both of Philadelphia; three sons, Randy Skinner and his wife, Peggy, of Union, and Winfred Skinner and his wife, Dawn and Jeff Skinner, both of Little Rock; a daughter-in-law, Pam Skinner of Little Rock; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lynette Dean of Duffee; two brothers, Micky Wayne Alexander of Duffee, and Charles Ray Alexander and his wife, Phyllis, of London, Ky.; two sisters in law, Sue Alexander of Jackson, Tenn., and Maxine Bynum of Union; and a brother in law, Pat Wells of Duffee.
Ms. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, Purvis “Pete” Skinner; and two sons, Donald Purvis Skinner and his wife, Nelda, and James Skinner.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
