Pamela McElhenney Loper, 60, passed away on June 16, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at Mount Zion Congregational Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Bros. Tod Thompson and Tommy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at Decatur City Cemetery in Decatur.
Mrs. Pam retired after 32 years of teaching special needs children. She was a member of Mount Zion Congregational Methodist Church and served in the W.M.S. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved her dog Poncho. She will certainly be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by husband of 40 years, Michael Loper; a son Ryan Loper (Jessica); a daughter Lacy Parker (Bubba); her mother Pauline McElhenney; a sister Judy Page (Ron); a sister Darlene Everett (Keith); two nephews Stewart Everett and John Everett; two aunts, Marie Hollingsworth and Glenda Meador; and several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Perry McElhenney Jr.; and her grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Don Terrell, Charles Walton, Cory Cleveland, David French, Bruce Terrell, Perry Luke and Skipper Harrison.
