Graveside services for Mrs. Peggy Bishop were held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Thomas Laird officiated.
Mrs. Bishop, age 70, of Hickory, died Wednesday, June 12, at her residence.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Kent Bishop of Hickory; two daughters; Lisa Roebuck and husband, Paul, of Newton and Gina Usry and husband, Bert, of Brandon; son, Randy Bishop and wife, Shea, of Hickory; 10 grandchildren, Lance Roebuck, Kendall Roebuck, Colby Bishop and wife, Ashley, Kirby Bishop and wife, Jade, Shelby Bishop, Darby Bishop, Abby Ursy, Hannah Usry, Wil Usry and Luke Usry; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also survived by several nieces and nephews and one special nephew Junior Laird.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton Measell; one sister, Pauline Laird; and one brother, Kenneth Measell.
Her grandsons, Lance Roebuck, Kendall Roebuck, Colby Bishop, Kirby Bishop, Wil Usry and Luke Usry, served as pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearer was Junior Laird.
