Priscilla Gray Killens, 79, of Brandon passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2019 in Madison, surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was born June 18, 1940 in Philadelphia, MS to the late Dennis Dulane and Elizabeth Lockett Gray. After graduating from Philadelphia High school, she married the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Hubert Killens. She and Hubert lived in many places over those years, pursuing career opportunities and school options for their two children, Mark and Monica. Priscilla and Hubert traveled many miles supporting Mark and Monica’s various school and sports activities, and their support continued with their grandchildren. Priscilla was known adoringly as “Gran” to her grandkids and was incredibly in love with her first great-grandchild Priscilla Lane, born earlier this year. Priscilla and Hubert bought a motor home several years ago and, as time passed, their newfound hobby would take them all over the country, driving as far as Alaska. They met many friends through the RV world and were constantly charting their next adventure. They never ceased to amaze their family and friends with their travels. Priscilla was a devout Christian and never hid her love for both her family and her Savior.
Priscilla is survived by her husband, Hubert; son, Mark of Philadelphia; daughter, Monica (Alan) Massey of Madison; grandchildren, Jacob (Courtland) Massey of Amory and Rebecca (Kyle) Stanford of Robertsdale, AL; great-granddaughter Priscilla Lane Stanford; numerous nephews and a niece.
She is preceded in death by her parents, DD and Lockett Gray; and brothers, Sonny Gray and James Louis Gray.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 2-5 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home in Union. Dr. Frank Harmon officiated the funeral on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Milling Funeral Home. Burial was in the Union City cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
