Services for Mr. Reber Rivers of Union were held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ben Laird and Bro. Byron Howell officiated.
Visitation was held 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
Mr. Rivers, 75, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lula Bell Rivers of Union; son, Marshall Rivers and wife, Dr. Careybeth, of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Dr. Loretta Rivers of Covington, La., Barbara Rivers and April Davidson of Brandon, Anita Graham and husband, Mitchell, of Conehatta and Elizabeth Backstrom and husband, J.D., of Union; grandchildren, Emily Graham of Arlington, Tx., Samantha Graham of Starkville, Marie Adams and husband, Andrew, of Carthage and Amelia Rivers of Birmingham, Ala.
Mr. Rivers was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Virgie Blalock Rivers
Pallbearers were Tommy Waddell, Tommy Smith, Cory Cater, Tim Warren, Jacob Dollar, Ethan Dollar, Blake Tidwell and Brad Warren.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jack Mason, Allen Boler Sr. and Joe Dollar.
The family requests that memorials be made to: Neshoba Baptist Cemetery Fund, 10211 Rd 1313, Union, MS 39365.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
