Services were held Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 at Clarke Venable Baptist Church in Decatur, MS, for Mrs. Roberta Harrison Jones, age 97, who passed from this life on Sept. 5, 2019 at J.G. Alexander Nursing Home in Union, MS. Dr. David Grumbach and Rev. Mark Vincent officiated with burial that followed in Decatur Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Bowler, Tommy Jones, Tyler White, Donald Craft, Tim Holt and Randy Wall.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Clarke Venable Memorial Baptist Church of Decatur and was a lifelong resident of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Jones and survived by her sister, Lorene Holt of Rogers, AR, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton was in charge of arrangements.
