Rose Marie Britt, 86, of Brookhaven, Miss., died Sunday, Nov. 4, in Newton. She was born March 13, 1932 in Sontag, Miss.
Visitation were held 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, with service following at 11 a.m. at Newton County Funeral Home-South.
Graveside service was held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Brookhaven, Mississippi. Dr. Frank Harmon, Dr. Brian Rushing and Rev. Colby Cuevas officiated.
Rose was a loving mother, grandmother and dedicated wife to her supportive husband of 65 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and appreciated the care of her new-found friends at Woodland Court and Bedford Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Britt; father, Spurgeon Boutwell; mother, Rosa Boutwell; son, Lindsey Britt; brothers, William A. Boutwell and Guy Boutwell; and sister, Eunice Boutwell.
Survivors include daughter, Kristina ‘Tina’ Bridges (Bob); grandchildren, Nicole Harmon (Micah) and Brittany Cuevas (Colby); great-grandchildren, Hallie Rose Harmon, Jon Cole, Evelyn Cuevas and Oliver Cuevas; brother, Carl Boutwell (Mary Lee); sister, Evelena Frazier; numerous nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Britt.
Pallbearers were Carl Boutwell Jr., Michael Frazier, Don Frazier, Dan Boutwell, Micah Harmon and Colby Cuevas.
