Rupert Perry Adcock, 87, of Conehatta, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Bedford Care Center in Newton. He was born Thursday, June 12, 1930, in Neshoba County.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Newton County Funeral Home – South in Newton. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 at Newton County Funeral Home. Burial followed in Conehatta Methodist Cemetery. Bro. William Savell officiated. Newton County Funeral Home - South was in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Nellie Adcock; three brothers, Carnett Adcock, Carnell Adcock, Charles Adcock; and two sisters, Lounez Whinery and Fronie Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Irene Adcock; a son, Ronald Adcock; three grandchildren, Justin Adcock, Andie Adcock and Chloe Adcock; two brothers, J.D. Adcock and Grady Adcock; and four sisters, Ruthie Jones, Margie Dunn, Mary Dyess and Barbara Jones.
Pallbearers were Justin Adcock, Joedy Pennington, Jamie Parker, Dicky Blackburn, Larry Adcock and Doug Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Dwayne Jones and Gary Jones.
